BookerMania is a complete fictional wrestling universe for Pro Wrestling Sim, built from the ground up with 25+ years of lore, deep rosters, and a world designed to feel alive from the moment you load it.
The save is optimized to begin on January 1st, 2026. Promotions, workers, and future prospects have been seeded through approximately 2050, at which point the game's natural worker generation will start filling gaps. If you want to extend beyond that window, you can activate dormant workers or add new ones via the save editor.
A few things to know upfront:
• Worker variety: Every effort has been made to minimize faceless generated workers, but results vary based on spawn settings, simulation speed, and whether you modify the default companies.
• Training schools: BookerMania includes 10 training schools with custom alumni pools. Even so, the engine may occasionally generate graduates without photos — see the Worker Generation section.
• This is a living mod: It will be updated. Check the subforum for patch notes and additions.
BookerMania works best when set up with a few things in mind before you start booking.
Many workers in BookerMania have multiple photos that change over time as your save progresses. A younger worker may look different in 2026 than they do in 2045. Not every worker has aging photos, and those that do won't all have the same number of stages — it varies by worker.
How it works: Each photo entry is tied to a date range. When the in-game date crosses the threshold, the worker's displayed photo updates automatically. No action needed on your part.
Want to add your own aging photos? You can generate new versions of any worker image yourself using AI tools (see the AI Images section), drop the file into the worker image folder, and assign it via Edit Save. It's easy to do and a great way to customize your save.
Workers without any aging photos keep a single image throughout their career. Most announcers, referees, and road agents fall into this category — they're functional characters, not long-term storytelling subjects.
Workers who begin the save already deceased are displayed with greyscale photos as a visual indicator. This is a BookerMania convention — not a built-in PWS feature — that you can maintain, modify, or ignore entirely.
For workers expected to die during your save: BookerMania includes greyscale versions for workers who are likely (though not certain) to pass away before 2075. These have a photo swap trigger set for January 1st, 2075 as a fallback.
If a worker dies before their scheduled swap: Go to the save editor, find the worker, and manually switch their photo to the Name_dead version. It's already in the photos folder.
If a worker outlives 2075: Same process in reverse — swap back to their living photo via the editor.
Workers without a _dead version are either not expected to die within the game timeline, or were omitted for simplicity. Creating one is easy with any image editor or AI tool — just desaturate the image.
Announcers and referees generally do not have greyscale versions. They're functional characters, not long-term storytelling subjects.
Every promotion ships with fully designed event logos already assigned. Your shows look like real productions from Day 1 with no setup required.
Bonus logos: Most companies have extra logo variants in reserve. If you don't like an event name or want to rotate looks, alternates are ready to assign. Big annual shows often have special edition versions too.
GWD and UPW have the largest bonus libraries. UPW's Climax show includes a full set of numbered episode logos for long-term continuity.
TV shows: Every promotion has a weekly TV show configured. Smaller companies have theirs set inactive by default. If you grow an indie to weekly TV status, activate the existing slot in the promotion editor rather than creating a new one.
BookerMania is built to carry you to approximately 2045–2050 before AI-generated, photo-less workers start appearing in notable numbers. The custom roster is densest in the early years and thins gradually — mirroring how a real wrestling world evolves through retirements and new blood.
Training schools are set up with custom alumni pools to feed prospects into the game organically. However, the game's school generation system may still occasionally produce workers without photos. This is a PWS engine behavior that can't be fully controlled at the mod level.
To minimize blank-head workers:
• Keep your new worker spawn rate at a moderate setting
• Don't delete or deactivate training schools
• Be aware that adding new promotions increases demand for generated workers
• After 2050, plan to add custom workers periodically to keep pace with retirements
When you need new worker photos — to fill generated worker gaps or add aged versions of existing workers — the creator recommends Gemini with this prompt, which produces results consistent with BookerMania's visual style:
After generating, crop and resize the image to match the dimensions of existing worker photos for visual consistency. The game accepts varying sizes but uniform dimensions look cleaner.
Aging existing workers: Drop the current photo into Gemini and say: "Make this character 50 years old, keeping the same general look and 3D rendering style." This is how the existing aged versions in BookerMania were created.
Creating greyscale (dead) versions: In Photoshop use Image → Adjustments → Desaturate. In Gemini: "Convert this image to greyscale." ChatGPT can handle this too.
Once you have your image, add it to the game's people/photos folder and assign it to the worker via the in-game or save editor.
BookerMania includes 251 random events built directly into the save. These are the latest version of the creator's standalone Random Events Pack — no separate subscription needed. They're already active.
Random events fire in the background while you book: injuries, scandals, surprise signings, contract disputes, crowd incidents, locker room drama, and more. They're designed to create interesting disruption without breaking your game.
You don't need to configure anything. If you want to adjust frequency or disable specific events, that can be done through PWS's event settings in-game.
The best place for help, tips, sharing saves, and following mod updates is the PSW Discord. The BookerMania subforum is the dedicated space for all things related to this mod.
